Haven't updated in a while

I kinda started slacking off on my blog, but I've done all sorts of shoots lately that I haven't posted about. Some super awesome news though is that the xB I shot a while ago will soon be featured in Rides Magazine, can't wait to see it in there. Owner of the car of course is excited, but not as excited as me =D Anywhoos, my most recent one was a friends S2000 seen here

Decided to also do a few behind the scene shots to show you guys my setup. In most of my shots I usually use 3-4 flashes, with the 4th one generally used to light up the backdrop, which in some cases I add a colored gel on there to add a bit of color to the photo.

Also done a few others...

Leaving for Greece soon!

Just thought I'd let you guys know I'll be going out of country for a good while, July 7th till August 18th, so no shoots for a while :( I just did 2 shoots recently, one with my friends IS350, and another with a friends Civic Si. I tried a different lighting technique on the IS350 which worked out pretty good in this case. Instead of using 3 lights as usual, I used the sun as a light in many cases, and had it light up the side or front, and then used the flashes on whatever was dark. Creates a nicer and more even looking effect on the body panels.Click below for the IS350 Shoot

Aaaaaaaand my friends Civic Si

See you guys soon!

Wow, been a while..

Kinda lost track of things and haven't updated this section ever since I changed the main page to flash vs this blog that I have. Anyways, I've done 5 more shoots since I last updated, one of them being more pics of the J's Racing S2000. It actually got featured on the HIN main page which was kinda neat, and they ended up making flyers of it as well which can be seen here: http://digitalremix.net/upload/uploads/flyer.jpg As for the shoots that I've done, here they are in order:

1. Matt's JDM Front End Integra

2. Adem's EK Civic

3. AutumnBahn Car and Model Shoot

and this is the most recent one, some pics of my friend Elizabeth and her buddy, Meghan

Alsoooooo... I finally got a new camera! WOOOOO, picked up a Nikon D300 for CHEAP on craigslist, everything brand new in box, also came with an 8gig memory card to go along with it, and so far I'm completely loving it =) No regrets whatsoever, and it completely blows away my old D70. The colors and sharpness are phenomenal, don't know how I went so long without it =X And lately, I suppose people have been liking my work quite a bit, been getting several emails and PM's on forums of people wanting to setup shoots. Only thing is, I'm leaving for Greece in a week. I have 2 more scheduled for right now, one on Thursday and one on Sunday, then after that it's time to start packin to leave next Monday =\I'll update the blog with the shoot pics from Thur/Sun, or you can just hop on over to digitalremix.net/gallery and view them there. If I forget to post, well, then expect to hear back from me sometime near Aug 20th or so =]

Import Reactor

This past weekend on the 21st I attended a local car show here in Houston called Import Reactor. It was loads of fun considering pretty much all my friends were there, but also met a lot of new faces while there also. Picture wise, I mainly just took pics of the girls from Scene Lifestyle since I figured everyone else would cover the cars, which they did. You can view everyone elses pics here and click the image below to view a few of mine.

Also, pretty sure everyone has seen these by now, but here's the full set of pics of the J's Racing S2000 I photographed a couple weeks ago

3rd Time's a Charm!

Reason I say that is because this is the 3rd time I've shot this guys car, he just loves the pics and keeps coming back for more lol. Went with a different technique this time and used external lighting in all the shots as opposed to a mixture of natural light and external or just plain ole natural light. Car has come a long way engine wise since the last time I saw it, also a few extra goodies in the exterior. Perfect example of a cleanly modified Subaru.
