I has a new bike

Woke up at 6am on Sunday to go to dallas, picked up 2 of my friends and left for dallas at around 7:30am, finally got to denton so my friend can pickup a new bike for himself (07 kawi zx6r). afterwards we drove back, got 30 minutes of rest or so, then headed over to pearland where i picked up mine up.

i started on a blue ninja 500r, upgraded to a blue ninja zx6r, and decided to keep the blue tradition by going with an 04 blue zx10r with only 6k miles (my current 04 zx6r has 24k). here's a quick photo of it i took the same day I got it, I'll do a full shoot of it once I'm done installing some goodies that are on the way.

current mods: muzzy full exhaust, scotts steering damper, power commander, michellin dot race tires (switching these out with corsa 3's since i only do one track day per month), 1 tooth down in front sprocket

already got a list of things i need to get.. integrated turn signals, integrated tail light, steel brake lines, new pads, upgraded master brake cylinder, track fairings, bla bla bla..

first impression: this thing shouldn't be legal.

i was in 6th gear on the way home on the freeway, yanked the throttle and my neck snapped back and the bike just took off like i was in the power band. keep in mind 1st gear does 104 mph or so, so i was completely in the wrong power band. i can't imagine doing the same thing in 2nd gear, it would most likely make the front end come up and keel me. suspension wise i can't say much because it hasn't been tuned to my weight yet and i rode it home with underinflated tires.

probably gonna enjoy it in street form for a while before i track it out completely, but yeah.. this thing is nutz.

oh yeah, and my friends bike with my old track bike in the background

Rides Magazine Feature Published

Shot these images of a Scion xB with the G-Wagon front end conversion a while ago, and Rides Magazine wanted to go ahead and run a feature on it and they just released the issue last week in the March/April issue of their magazine. Here's some snaps of it:

Pickup the latest issue of that mag to see them in print =)

Noel and Reena's Wedding

I was responsible for shooting their engagement photo's recently, and yesterday was the day of their wedding. It was a super long day for me (I was there from 1pm to 1130pm), but definitely fun and whole new experience, since this was my first time shooting a wedding solo. I'll have the pics up soon, but here's a few sample shots straight from the camera with no editing.

Fun fun :) Lookin forward to shooting a few others that have contacted me recently about wedding/engagement photo's.

New site up and running!

I was supposed to launch the new design beginning of this year... but it kinda got a little delayed. Old design didn't give me much flexibility in terms of being able to add more detailed package listings to the services offered. I worked non-stop on a different design for about 2 weeks, then decided it was too complicated and trashed that one and just went with a much simpler setup.

Good thing about this one is that both flash enabled and non-flash enabled browsers can view my latest work, so now I get to have 100% compatibility with all browsers. If it detects you don't have flash installed it automatically takes you to the HTML version of the website, which of course isn't as pretty, but it gets the point across :)

Still need to add a bit more content to the galleries but this will do for the time being.

Practicing w/Portraits

I've been limiting myself to mainly automotive style shoots, this year I'm gonna try to do a few more portrats/weddings/engagements and what not and see how I do. They definately pay more than car shoots, and I could always use the extra money, plus they're just as fun and it's nice doing something different for a change. Most recent one I did was of Justeen, you can view the rest by clicking on the image below:

And some behind the scene shots as usual

Gave her my camera to look at some pics and the screen turned off, so I told her she broke my camera =O
