I has a new bike

Woke up at 6am on Sunday to go to dallas, picked up 2 of my friends and left for dallas at around 7:30am, finally got to denton so my friend can pickup a new bike for himself (07 kawi zx6r). afterwards we drove back, got 30 minutes of rest or so, then headed over to pearland where i picked up mine up.

i started on a blue ninja 500r, upgraded to a blue ninja zx6r, and decided to keep the blue tradition by going with an 04 blue zx10r with only 6k miles (my current 04 zx6r has 24k). here's a quick photo of it i took the same day I got it, I'll do a full shoot of it once I'm done installing some goodies that are on the way.

current mods: muzzy full exhaust, scotts steering damper, power commander, michellin dot race tires (switching these out with corsa 3's since i only do one track day per month), 1 tooth down in front sprocket

already got a list of things i need to get.. integrated turn signals, integrated tail light, steel brake lines, new pads, upgraded master brake cylinder, track fairings, bla bla bla..

first impression: this thing shouldn't be legal.

i was in 6th gear on the way home on the freeway, yanked the throttle and my neck snapped back and the bike just took off like i was in the power band. keep in mind 1st gear does 104 mph or so, so i was completely in the wrong power band. i can't imagine doing the same thing in 2nd gear, it would most likely make the front end come up and keel me. suspension wise i can't say much because it hasn't been tuned to my weight yet and i rode it home with underinflated tires.

probably gonna enjoy it in street form for a while before i track it out completely, but yeah.. this thing is nutz.

oh yeah, and my friends bike with my old track bike in the background

Rides Magazine Feature Published

Shot these images of a Scion xB with the G-Wagon front end conversion a while ago, and Rides Magazine wanted to go ahead and run a feature on it and they just released the issue last week in the March/April issue of their magazine. Here's some snaps of it:

Pickup the latest issue of that mag to see them in print =)
